For access to the dataset and other commonly used subsets, you will need to agree to the terms of access below.

[RESEARCHER_FULLNAME] (the “Researcher”) has requested permission to use the Industrial-iSeg (the “Database”) at International School of Nanshan Shenzhen. In exchange for such permission, Researcher hereby agrees to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Publication and Attribution: In any publication or presentation resulting from the use of this Database, Researcher agrees to acknowledge the author Tom Li, his affiliation International School of Nanshan Shenzhen, and Industrial-iSeg 7k Dataset appropriately. Researcher shall include a citation to the relevant Database documentation or publication as specified by Industrial-iSeg Dataset
  2. Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed strictly in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong S.A.R., regardless to its conflicts of law provisions.
  3. Permitted Use: Researcher shall use the Database solely for non-commercial-driven research or educational purposes.
  4. No Warranty: Industrial-iSeg Dataset and its founder Tom Li make no representations or warranties regarding this Database, including but not limited to warranties of non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose.
  5. Responsibility and Indemnification: Researcher shall accept full responsibility for their use of the Dataset and defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Industrial-iSeg team, Industrial-iSeg, and their respective employees, trustees, officers, and agents against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from Researcher’s use of the Database, including but not limited to any copies or reproductions of copyrighted materials that the Researcher may create from the Database.
  6. Access by Research Associates: Researcher may provide research associates and colleagues with access to the Database, given that they have to first agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  7. Termination of Access: Tom Li, the founder of this dataset, reserves the right to terminate Researcher’s access to the Database at any time, with or without cause.
  8. Employer’s Agreement: If Researcher is employed by a commercial entity, Researcher’s employer shall also agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Researcher hereby represents and warrants that they are fully authorized to enter into this agreement on behalf of their employer.
  9. Data Security: Researcher agrees to implement and maintain reasonable security measures to protect the Dataset from any unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Researcher acknowledges that any breach of this obligation may result in immediate termination of access to the Database.
